First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church was the first established church in Great Falls. Established in 1887, the worshiping congregation has had three structures during its lifetime; the present one was built in 1931. It is a tall steeple church, Gothic in style with beautiful stained glass windows and a world-class pipe organ.
We are a diverse group of Christians - from our children to those of us who are young at heart, we find many ways to worship our Lord and grow in our faith. Our traditional choir combines with a drama team for special Holy Week and Christmas events; our Praise Band offers uplifting contemporary music; and folks of all ages enjoy picnics and pool parties during the summer!! Our God loves to have fun - and so do we!! Educationally speaking, we offer Mid Week Ministry and Sunday School for our children; Bible study and activities for our Young Adults; classes tailored to becoming well-rounded individuals for our adults; and many small groups for all ages.
We open our Sunday mornings with a time of Gathering Music at 9:45am where we prepare our hearts and lift our voices in praise to Him. Our Worship Service begins at 10:00am which is followed by Coffee Hour (a time of fellowship) downstairs in our Social Hall. Please visit our website, www.firstpresgfmt.org, for up-to-the-minute details. You may also find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/firstpresgfmt.
We are the only Presbyterian Church in Montana to have a Sunday morning television ministry. Souler Energy has been on the air since 1982. You may enjoy the televised (abbreviated) service on KFBB-TV at 9:30am on Sundays throughout the year. Please check local listings for channel number.
First Presbyterian Church is a Stephen Ministry church with trained lay ministers to help those in crises in their lives. We have a strong mission purpose, working with many local needs and sending both youth and adults to less fortunate parts of our world to work and spread the Good News. Our web site has in-depth coverage of our mission and outreach programs.
'We are the body of Christ: joyfully worshiping God, compassionately caring for one another, humbly serving others, continually growing together in God's Word, and actively sharing the Good News of Christ.'
We welcome one and all to join us!
