Ackley Lake State Park

Ackley Lake, named after an early settler and frontiersman, offers diverse water sports opportunities. Stocked with rainbow trout, the lake is often good angling for 10 to 15 inch fish. The elevation of the park is 4,331 feet and 160 acres. This park has been designated as 'primitive' so there are no fees to use the site.

Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, bicycling and a group camping area are available. There are 15 sites with vault toilets, 2 boat launches and a boat ramp, picnic tables, grills/fire rings, and a group use area. Pets are allowed, but must be on leash. The maximum length of stay is 14 days during a 30 day period. There is a golf course and museum located nearby in Lewistown. This park is pack-in/pack-out, so remember to bring your own trash bags!
